A New Dimension in EP

Accurate Diagnosis and Efficient Workflow in AF Therapy

EHRA congress 2021: The future of EP Practice - BIOTRONIK and Acutus Medical joint session

Back to overview

The future of EP Practice: Do we need a mapping-guided patient-specific ablation strategy to treat complex arrhythmias?

Acutus Medical and BIOTRONIK are pleased to invite you to their joint session at the annual scientific meeting of the European Heart Rhythm Association. Watch interesting cases, listen to renowned experts, and join in the discussion about the future of EP practice.

April 24, 2021, 8.20 - 9.05 p.m.

Learning objectives

Treating complex atrial arrhythmias is still a challenge even today, and clinical outcomes may vary due to the inability to identify and eliminate triggers. In this session, we discuss how to identify atrial arrhythmogenic substrate; this is important for initiating and maintaining AF and post AF tachycardias and tailoring patient-specific ablation strategies to achieve sustainable clinical outcomes.

Symposium Chair

Prof. Dr. Timothy Betts, United Kingdom

How detailed insights of local atrial arrhythmogenic substrate guide personalized ablation to improve procedural outcome

Prof. Dr. Leif-Hendrik Boldt & Dr. Abdul Parwani, Germany

Individualised ablation strategy to treat persistent atrial fibrillation: Core-to-boundary approach guided by charge-density mapping

Dr. Tom Wong, United Kingdom

Substrate Mapping: A comparison between charge-density mapping & sequential voltage mapping in persistent atrial fibrillation patients

Prof. Dr. Gian Battista Chierchia, Belgium

Live Q&A session

In addition to the presenters:
Dr. Sonia Busch, Germany & Dr. Steve Murray, United Kingdom
